How does Jesus (Yeshua) describe what it means to follow in His footsteps?

John 8:31-32 (KJV)
“31 Then said Yeshua to those Hebrews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”
Yeshua the Messiah said that if we continue in His word, then we are His disciples. In other versions of the Bible the translation from Greek is “hold to my teachings.” As the son of God, Yeshua was God in the flesh, and authority was given to Him to explain the Will of Elohim. Thus Jesus would know what God’s plan was for us as we adventure through this life in the Holy Spirit following His Son.
One thing that is happening inside of church buildings is a lack of commitment to the Bible, the very map that helps us explore the treasure in the Kingdom of Heaven, then there the Word of God, as a whole, and members of churches are cherry picking what they believe from the scriptures and don’t believe. This practice is a disruptor in our discovery of all things magnificent in Christ Jesus. However, This is nothing new; this is what led the great Martin Luther to protest. Yeshua said that if we continue in His word, we are His disciples, and we will know the truth (THE Truth). So we should strive to follow His word (His map that leads to a great journey through this life of Joy in Him). When we do not know the truth, then truth is left in the street, out of churches, as in Isaiah 59:14: “And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off; for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter.”
King Yeshua was clear that we must hold on and continue in His word in order to be found to be a disciple of His. We must not give up or give in, but persevere in His word.
If we want truth, equity, and justice, we get this through the son of God, so continue in all of the teachings, not just a few verses. If you need faith, keep in the word, and pray about your questions. God is faithful and will answer you.
