Yahweh Gave a Clear Word:Pray to be Found Faithful

PRAY

Pa-lel (Hebrew)

Pa-lel (Hebrew) — Pray

When Yeshua taught on prayer in Matthew 6:5–15, He wasn’t giving a checklist of do’s and don’ts. He was describing the heart posture of someone who genuinely loves to speak with Yahweh. It is the difference between a heart that seeks God’s reward and a heart that only craves recognition from men.

Prayer is not performance. Prayer is relationship. It is the overflow of love for the One who already knows our needs, yet invites us to draw near with worship, adoration, and trust.

If we say we love someone but never speak with them, that relationship withers for lack of investment. The same is true with Yahweh. To pray is to believe He is listening, to speak in faith that He will respond. As Romans 10:17 reminds us: “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” If prayer feels hard, open the Word of Yah (His Bible)—and faith will rise.

Encouragement from Scripture

  • Deuteronomy 4:7 – “God is near us whenever we pray to Him.”
  • 1 Samuel 12:23 – “Far be it from me that I should sin against Yahweh by failing to pray for you.”
  • Proverbs 15:8 – “The prayer of the upright pleases Him.”
  • Zechariah 12:10 – “I will pour out… a spirit of grace and supplication.”

A Sure Foundation

After teaching His disciples how to pray, Yeshua declared in Matthew 7:24–27 that those who hear His words and do them are like wise builders whose house is set upon the rock. Prayer is part of that rock-solid foundation.

The Word Given

Recently, Yahweh spoke directly in my ear: “Pray.” One word—yet full of urgency, power, and love. Because He commanded me, I now pass this same instruction on to you:

Pray.
Pray with faith that He hears. Pray for family and friends, neighbors and nations, leaders and even enemies. Pray for your own faithfulness to the King of kings and Lord of lords.

Yahweh is faithful. He loves us. Love Him back by acknowledging His holy presence in prayer.

Jesus’s (Yeshua’s) words in:

Matthew 6:5-15 (KJV)

“5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

After this MANNER therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, respected and sanctified be thy name.

10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.

11 Give us this day our daily bread.

12 And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

13 And lead away from temptation, and deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:

15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”
